A Vestry Update From Our Senior Warden
Greetings St. Martin's family!
Our Vestry had a teleconference on Wednesday, April 7 where many things were discussed. While much of our normal business is on hold right now, we are happy to report that we have a general contractor to finish up much of the small projects left in the Rectory! As you know, our profile has been presented nationally, but we are in a holding pattern there as well with the current Covid-19 crisis. Please continue to pray for all those involved in this search process and for those considering applying.
We are thankful to Fr. Tom for preparing and taping short videos with a message we can take with us each week as we continue to pray for guidance at this time. Fr. Tom is always available by phone. If you have a specific prayer request or know someone who should be on our prayer list from the parish, please reach out.
While we are unsure when our regular worship schedule will resume, we hope that everyone is able to tune in to a live stream of a service of your choice. We will let you know as soon as we know. The Vestry has been reaching out to every member of the parish every week to check in and see how people are doing. If you haven't received a phone call, please call me and I'd love to touch base with you. :)
There was some discussion about our annual Chicken BBQ. We will have more information after our next Vestry meeting. The subcommittees will be discussing many different options and will give us their recommendations/suggestions by the end of April. There are so many unknowns at this time.
Please continue to mail in your pledges on a regular basis. If you want to set up bill pay, please email Deanna at Enable JavaScript to view protected content. for more information. We are requesting that you NOT use the platform advertised by the diocese at this time. We still have lots of overhead to contend with and bills to pay each month. Without continuous donations, we will have difficulty maintaining our finances.
Please continue to keep the Vestry in your prayers, along with the Finance Committee.
I truly hope you all had a blessed Easter Sunday and continue to hold fast to your faith in the Lord. Please pray for all those affected by Covid-19 in any way.
Blessings,
Jeanne Percival, Sr. Warden
