Lenten Luncheons 2024

The second Lenten luncheon, held at Trinity Church on March 6th, featured Father Nick speaking about the value of giving up something for Lent. He reminded us that Jesus’ suggestion was to “Take up your cross and follow me.” This was a very frightening suggestion at the time, as the cross was a symbol of torture and persecution. Jesus was asking us to let go of control. When we recognize that we can surrender and give up control, we experience the freedom of Lent, which then becomes a symbol of hope and peace, not death and fear.

Lenten Luncheons are held at 11:30am on Wednesdays in Lent at Trinity Church. All are welcome with a $10 donation.
