Welcome to St. Martin's. This page will tell you
about our Sunday morning schedule and about some of the activities
which take place here. To learn more about the Christian Education
Program, check the "Youth Page." To learn of more opportunities for
ministry, check the "Ministries Page."
Receiving Communion
We offer holy communion at all Sunday
services. Anyone who is baptized is welcome to join us in receiving
communion. You will notice that virtually everyone receives communion
-- even infants. If one is baptized, one is welcome to receive.
Christian Education Program
We have a wonderful Sunday morning Christian
education program for folks of all ages. Gatherings are Sunday
mornings at 9:00.
Revised Common Lectionary
On Sundays, we use the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) rather than the
Episcopal Eucharistic Lectionary (EEL). The Bible readings listed
above are from the RCL. Part of the reason for using the RCL is that
the Episcopal Church, at its General Convention this summer, will vote
to replace the EEL with the RCL as the official lectionary of the
Episcopal Church. Furthermore, the RCL is increasingly being used
throughout the Anglican communion and in most other denominations. For
example, it is widely used in the Anglican Church in Canada. In other
words, the RCL is fast becoming the "ecumenical" lectionary.
