Hi, friends
Fr. Earle is writing this first posting, so we can get something done
quickly and then retire for the night. As many of you know, the
beginning of our trip was fairly stressful. Our plane was delayed, so
that we feared we might miss our connection in New York to get to Tel
Aviv. However, the plane finally got off with time to spare. BUT – we
spent an hour on the plane, waiting to get to a gate. We disembarked to
plane at 8:30. Our Tel Aviv flight pushed away from the gate at 9:00. We
sprinted through the airport, and our baggage got here fine.
All are doing well. Our hosts are very accommodating. We are quite
pleased. Our Sunday schedule is as follows:
7:00 Breakfast
8:00 Holy Eucharist at St. George’s Cathedral
9:00 Depart for Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Memorial Museum)
11:30 Off to Beit Jala for lunch and visit to the village
1:30 Visit the Dheishah Refugee Camp
3:00 Shepherd’s Field (Outside Bethlehem)
4:00 Church of the Holy Nativity, Bethlehem
