Greetings / Shalom / Salaam
We're back. Thanks be to God for this wonderful pilgrimage opportunity.
In the near future, this short writing will be replaced by a reflection
on the day. In the mean time, this will let you know that Saturday
morning was spent at Abu Gosh - one of the three sites "competing" to be
the Emmaeus site (see Luke 24:13-35). Our closing Eucharist was at noon
at St. George's Cathedral, after which we spent much of the afternoon
walking through the streets of the Old City, shopping, and making one
last visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Our flight departed Tel
Aviv shortly before midnight, and we arrived back at St. Martin's in
plenty of time to attend the 10:00 Holy Eucharist.
Thanks again to all of you for helping to make this trip possible. We
continue to thank God for his grace.

At
the Crusader Church in Abu Gosh. Here we are singing (again) about the
resurrection of our Lord Jesus.

Jared and Allie (and the rest of the pilgrimage youth) distribute
Jerusalem Crosses (made in Bethlehem) to members of St. Martin's as
"thank you" gifts to everyone who helped to make the pilgrimage
possible.
