The full report for Day 7 will be posted after we return. Here’s the itinerary.

We began the morning of Day 7 in the Galilee, visiting the Chapel of the Transfiguration atop Mount Tabor.

A two-hour drive south through the Jordan Valley brought us to Jericho, where we saw what is supposed to be the sycamore tree from the Jesus/Zacchaeus story, and where we ate lunch.

The early afternoon was spend going down the west side of Mount Tabor. The two primary stops were at the Dominus Flevit Chapel (where “Jesus wept” over the city of Jerusalem), and the Church of All Nations (which is located in the Garden of Gethsemane).

After lunch at the restaurant in Jericho, Allie and Olivia teach all of us a song.

In the Church of the Transfiguration, our Chaplain (Deacon Nael) retells the Transfiguration story, and describes the imagery of the various pieces of art.

Our pilgrims walk down the west side of the Mount of Olives, using the same route that Jesus used on his triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.

George, our guide, tells us some of the background of the Garden of Gethsemane.  The olive trees of the Garden are on the left side of the photo.

After returning to St. George's College, we had an opportunity to meet Bishop Riah, the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem.

St. George's Guest House (where we took most of our meals) prepared a very tasty Thanksgiving Feast for us on Friday night, the day after Thankgiving.  The meal was complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, fresh corn, rice stuffing, and the standard eastern Mediterranean salads (in the foreground)
