St. Martin's Vestry

Stewardship Mission Statement

We, the members of the St. Martin's Vestry adopt the following statement on Stewardship:

     We encourage all members of St. Martin's to give of their time, talent and finiancial treasure, in joyful and thankful response to God's Love and in support of the work and ministries or Our Lord in this parish and community.

     We pray financial giving at St. Martin's may be:

     BIBLICALLY INSPIRED - by the Word and Will of God as revealed in Holy Scripture (e.g. Leviticus 27:30-33; Amos 4:4; Malachi 3:8-10; Luke 16:10-13, 18:12, 21:1-4)

     PROPORTIONATE - based upon percentage or proportion of one's income, rather than a fixed dollar amount

     SYSTEMATIC - given at regular intervals such as weekly or monthly

As Vestry members, we pledge to strive, with God's help, to grow towards the Biblical standard of tithing in our own giving as Christian Stewards.  We invite all members of St. Martin's to take part in this journey of Faith, and encourage all parish members to join with us in increasing the proportion of their resources that are given for God's work in the world.
